you can do that with any varnish - no need to buy expensive stuff- but of course, this is another selling stuff video like 80% of youtube vids

I suspect the transfer fluid is a weak pale shellac solution or a weak glycerine solution. Inkjet transparency film is i believe coated with glycerine to create a surface for ink to adhere to but its not as good as paper so the ink can be easily shifted from the transparency surface.

@@sddd42000 I use a weak shellac solution which when dry i rough up with 1000grit it will then make a surface which will take pencil drawing on.

Anyone who gave this a thumbs down should go look up Shawn's work. Your looking at the work of a scroll master. One of the best. Thanks Shawn and awesome video. I'd love to see more on the other fill leaf elements. How to decorate around scrolls. That's what I struggle with but I am practicing and getting better and better.

Would I be able to use clear transparancy film from amazon like the ones used for projectors with a laser jet printer and the fluid? Would that work?

Very generous of you Shawn to take the time to make this video. I can see my scrolls aren't quite right, but could never put my finger on what was missing.I do tend to rush a bit,and get a bit graver happy, and do funky lines as well.
